RoS Beta: Wizard Frost Build!

The one thing that really has me hooked into the Reaper of Souls beta is all the synergy they’ve added between the skills and legendary items.  The wizard, especially, has seen some vast improvements to potential builds.  Finally us wizards can choose to play as a “Fire Wizard” or “Lightning Wizard”, and the skills actually work well together! After finding a pair of completely overpowered Frostburn Gauntlets (Chill effects have a 50% chance to freeze the enemy), I decided to give the “Frost Wizard” a try, and was able to come up with some really fun builds that feel UBER-Powerful.  Hopefully this will satisfy the Diablo players were are upset about losing the “Critical Mass” and “Archon” builds that currently reign supreme.

A lot will change between now and the release of Reaper of Souls.  The meta-game will certainly evolve, and new builds will prove more powerful.  However, I wanted to give a preview of how amazing these new builds could be.  In this YouTube video I cover two builds I created around the Frostburn Gauntlets and a few other frost-based legendary items I’ve acquired.  I show how the synergy between the skills and legendary affixes creates a build that’s not only much more fun than the currently popular wizard builds, but also more powerful.
