Virtual Tickets for Blizzcon Attendees (Finally!)

by - 10 years ago

Community Manager Phenteo hopped on the forums the other day to announce that all Blizzcon attendees will receive a code that allows them access to the Blizzcon Virtual stream.

If you’ve ever been to Blizzcon there is one thing you know, you can’t possible see everything you want.  It’s just not feasible with Blizzard running back to back panels on two stages, eSports running on a third stage, bathroom breaks, food and lets not forget taking the time to play a demo or two.  Adding the virtual ticket to the goodie bag has one of the most asked for changes to the convention and now those attending won’t miss a thing.  As a fan of all three (or is it five now?) franchises, I’m certainly going to be enjoying the ability to catch up on panels that I missed.

One word of caution for attendees, the code for the virtual ticket will tied into the code for the virtual goodies.  Just keep that in mind before you give away the pet codes to a friend.

If you’ve ever attended BlizzCon in person, you’ve probably experienced the existential dilemma caused when a must-see panel overlaps with a can’t-miss tournament or other essential event. Since we can’t grant you the power to exist in two places at once, we’re instead giving BlizzCon 2013 attendees access to Virtual Ticket online streams so they can catch replays of the stuff they might have missed after the show. This year, the code in attendees’ goody bags that unlocks the BlizzCon 2013 in-game goodies will also unlock the Virtual Ticket, allowing you to view on-demand replays of the events on the Main and Panel stages for up to two weeks after BlizzCon. You’ll only be able to apply the code to one Battle.net account, so keep that in mind before you redeem it yourself (or give it to a friend).

EDIT:

If you purchased a virtual ticket so you can watch what you missed at BlizzCon, it looks like Blizzard Customer Service will grant you a refund if you request it.

That’s just sexy. Wish I could be there. I swore myself that I will attend every gaming convention there is when I finally go to collage. PAX, E3, Gamescom, Blizzcon, whatever comes to mind.
