Hoax or Not? The Dark Below/Corgi Unleashed Saga

MMO Champion put out another news post today – apparently in their rush (and everyone else’s including ours) to speculate toward the next expansion. However, today Blizzard apparently trademarked the name “Corgi Unleashed”.

This shows a little bit of a flaw in the system that MMO Champion and other fansites were using to try and leak information… that the system is just a form and anyone with $275 they want to waste can use it to do whatever they wish.

So, The Dark Below could be real or could be a hoax. Likely a hoax as mostly everything this expansion has shown the next one would have more of a Burning Legion take.

The Diablo trademark for “Reaper of Souls” is still very real. It was trademarked in Europe and well, Blizzard has a teaser website up about it.

With that said, if it wasn’t a hoax, I am totally looking forward to seeing Corgi Unleashed get revealed at BlizzCon. It’s most certainly the game I have always been waiting for.

Dark Below could still fit with the Burning Legion. There was an image leaked of a supposed patch 5.5 earlier today, called Skysunder – with demonic art all around it. Consider the setting as well as the lessons learned in the Shaohao clips we just watched. Also consider the fact that Wrathion wanted one faction to win over the other so that there could be peace and an Army of Light. I’m willing to bet that the Pandaren’s ultimate job once Garrosh is dealt with and the Legion invades is to conceal us from the enemy, while Azeroth is besieged. We’ll go deep underground, and uncover a giant system of caves. We know this location exists, because Ozumat has the title Fiend of the Dark Below, and there are many references throughout Cataclysm of a place below Vashj’ir.

Also, Yogg’Saron’s puzzle-box has a poem about the city of Ny’Alotha, where the old god sleeps in the deep.

There, we’ll find N’Zoth, rescue Neptulon, and fight Queen Azshara. It’ll be an expansion split across both caves and underwater zones.

Turalyon and Alleria will return eventually, and we’ll begin our resistance against the legion, with the expansion after that taking us to Argus.

The Scourge was something that lasted a long time. Nothing says the legion invasion has to be dealt with in a single expansion. They want it to matter this time around.

    “It was trademarked in Europe”
