Blizzard Software Engineer Ron Nakada Passes Away

A few months ago, we reported on the case of Ron Nakada, a senior software engineer for Blizzard, who had contracted Stage IV colon cancer. Friends and coworkers of Nakada had organized a crowdfunding drive to help Nakada’s family overcome the costs of his treatment, which ultimately succeeded. However, on April 2nd, Nakada succumbed to the illness and passed away, according to GamePolitics.

The crowdfunding drive remains open to help Nakada’s family cover the costs of final medical expenses and memorial expenses.
